Building Better Communities Through Service, Leadership, and Compassion

The Giving Story empowers young people to become compassionate leaders through volunteer service, mentorship, education, and community engagement. Our programs encourage youth to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Our Story, Our Service

Through partnerships with local governments and community organizations, our youth actively participate in projects that improve neighborhoods and strengthen communities.

Programs include:

  • Community Beautification with the Office of Mayor Matt Mahan
  • Teens Reach Program – San José Public Library & Community
  • Volunteer Service at Local Senior Centers

Junior Peace Leadership Program

We encourage youth to become responsible global citizens through leadership, civic engagement, and peace education.

Programs include:

  • Junior Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council
  • Leadership Development
  • Peace & Civic Responsibility Education
  • Global Citizenship Activities

A Constitutional Institution and Presidential Advisory Organization dedicated to promoting peaceful unification and civic leadership.

Buds Academy

Buds Academy provides educational support and mentoring opportunities for underserved youth, helping students build confidence, discover their talents, and prepare for future success.

Programs include:

  • Academic Mentoring & Homework Club
  • English Language Development (ELD)
  • Music, Art & Sports
  • Self-Defense Education
  • Computing & Digital Skills
  • Coding Fundamentals

Compassion & Charity

We believe that serving others is at the heart of leadership. Through charitable outreach and volunteer service, students learn empathy, generosity, and the importance of giving back.

Programs include:

  • Clothing Donations for People Experiencing Homelessness
  • Volunteer Service with CityTeam
  • Support for Local Charity Organizations
  • Community Giving & Outreach Projects
